The class isn't really about scrapbooking, it is about getting stories down on paper. We have made a binder full of thousands of prompts to get your mind thinking and your hand writing. I haven't done much writing but I had to do this layout...

Happy Blog Anniversary

Well I have been at this blog for a year. I think I have done exactly what I set out to do. Documenting the little things, the day to day things that might get lost in my mind as the kids get older. I guess paying for it really does make you blog. LOL.

all I can say

is if you didn't sign up for this class Stories in Hand you are missing out on one of the best things you could ever do for yourself or your family. I feel bad for you if you didn't sign up. Too late now.  

in line at the McDonald's drive-thru

yep I am a horrible mother. McDonald's for the 2nd time this week. Oh well.

Anyway we were behind this truck and the lady was ordering from a list. The screen was full. I was irritated. I just sighed. What's the matter Miss Hear-it-All in the back seat says.

I say "This car infron of us is ordering the whole menu."

Emma says, "But they'll get a tummy ache if they eat the whole menu."

God, I love that kid!

what is voting?

I was asked this question when Emma and I were on our way to the polls. Simple answer for a 4 year old: It is when people decide who will be president.

Emma: What is a president?

Me: the person who is the boss of the country

Emma: why do you vote?

Me: so we can decide who will be the best person to be the boss

Emma: I think you will be the best boss, Mommy.

*sigh* Thanks Emma. I think I would be too. Certainly better than what we have to choose from today.
